Dr. M. Antonella Muraro

Dr Antonella Muraro is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist and full time member of the academic staff. She has been working for 20 years at the Allergy Unit of the Department of Paediatrics of the University of Padua, in particular in the field of paediatric food allergy, rhinitis and sinusitis as well as on prevention of allergic diseases in childhood. She has been professor of Pediatric Allergology at the Allergy and Clinical Immunology School, University of Padua since 1990. In 1992 she achieved a PhD at the University of Rome. Since 2001 she has been member of the Board of the Section on Pediatrics of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and since 2003 she has been the scientific secretary of the EAACI - Section on Pediatrics Board; from 2007 to 2009 she has been the Chairman of the same EAACI Section. Since 2004 she has been member of the the Italian Society of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. She is also Member of American College of Allergy, Italian Society of Pediatrics, Italian Society for Pediatric Respiratory diseases. She is the chairwoman of the EAACI task-force on anaphylaxis in children, the EAACI Task Force on the Allergic Child at School, the EAACI Task Force on the Food Allergy Clinical Practice Guidelines and she is the author of many publications on food allergy and atopic dermatitis in Italian and International journals. She has organizated some international meetings and courses
